Description
Influenced by the upcoming Christmas, and all the deviations showing up around here portraying Winter's cold grip, it makes perfect sense to make the theme of my third "little planet" a snow one...even though it's Summer in my part of the globe lol. Plus it was a good artwork to enter in #The3DArtistClub's "winter" contest too.
Close-ups from the surface, as usual in Trudging through Frozen Flurry
other planets so far:
1st: Picnic Park galaxy
2nd: Beach Ball galaxy
4th: Channel City galaxy
5th: Banshee Bridge galaxy
6th: Derailed Desert galaxy
This one evolved dramatically and I never pictured the final one to be like this. Mostly in the lighting and colours. Throughout most of the working time in Vue 6, the atmosphere was a bright grey like a typical overcast winter's day which did make it look more natural and realistic, but so much white and grey made it also look very dull and boring. So I came up with the aurora's at night idea (the auroras were cleverly made using standard cloud layers in Vue ) as well as three-point lighting of various colours to further enhance the effect. As usual, the 3D render was edited in Photoshop for certain things that would have taken too long to make, and render in 3D.
Whoa! Daily Deviation! thankyou very much for all the comments and faves on this
